Authentic Success Is BetterThan An Image of SuccessAuthentic success is more meaningful and longer lasting than an image of success.True Success Is Not A Created ImageFor many people, image is everything. For these people, presenting an image of success is easier than actually achieving success. For the most part, images of success have been created to represent...or give the appearance of... success. They represent what success looks like to the individuals whose images suggest success. In the most basic of words, images of success are usually created by spending time, effort and money to produce the desired appearance. Authentic success on the other hand, is the reward for putting time and effort into achieving personal and business goals. Living Your ValuesGoals represent desired results...the outcomes that we would like to bring about. The best goals are smart goals, which among other features reflect both our personal core values and our business core values. By recognizing your core values, you will be better prepared to take your first baby steps to success. When we set and achieve goals that reflect our core values, something magical happens: we are highly motivated to bring about results that are meaningful, significant and important to us. As a result, achieving genuine success produces a true sense of accomplishment and self-fulfillment. Top Learning From ExperienceAuthentic success is an ongoing journey. This means that the sense of accomplishment and self-fulfillment hat it generates will prepare you for even greater success. Remember that true success also includes success beyond work. Ultimately you will want success in both your work and your personal lives. That way you are living what you value...not just presenting a carefully created image of what you think success looks like. What have you learned about succeeding by living your values? Do you have any tips to share with others?
