Typically, dictionaries define achievement as 'an accomplishment attained by effort'.
Similarly, synonyms for word 'achieve' include:
- consummate
- complete
- execute
- realize
- reach
- win
That common factor is the element of action.
This means that our achievements are results that are brought about as a result of action that we have taken. They are not outcomes that just happen to us.
What is success? It's another word for achievement...it's truly living.

Your Goal-Based Definition of Achievement
Virtually every definition of achievement makes reference to accomplishing intended or desired results.In other words, achievement is about reaching goals.
The best goals are SMART Goals.
In the event this idea is new to you, SMART is an acronym representing the combined terms Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-based.
Over the years, the idea of SMART goals has proven very helpful in setting goals that accurately describe the outcomes that I...and in consulting engagements, my clients...desire.

How Do You Define Achievement?
In the briefest of terms, defining achievement is about clarifying the results to be accomplished.Creating your own definition is simply defining the results you want to achieve.
Once you have defined these desired results...or goals...you have in fact defined what achievement means to you.

However, unlike your best success tip, your profile will be promotional in nature. Not only will it feature you as an Exemplary Service Provider, it will also promote the benefits that clients can expect to receive from your ability to deliver exemplary service.
Think of what a powerful promotional tool this will be...and how effectively it will help you attract even more clients.
