If You Must Lay Blame ...

The blame others game starts with parents who tell Jimmy it was the coach's fault you did not win because they did not play their kid.

It's starts with parents thinking Jimmy can do no wrong or teaching him responsibility and it becomes a habit for Jimmy.

He natural looks around to find someone to blame, never made to consider he has a role in the screw up.

The kid becomes an adult doing the same think he was taught growing up.

The guy in the mirror each morning is always the first person to consider if you have to lay blame.

Responsible For Our Results
by: Larry Easto

When things do not turn out as desired or expected, many people default to the blame game.

If prospects don't want to talk to us, it's because there are too many other competitors chasing them.

When prospects choose the competition, it's because of lower fees.

But wait a minute.

Maybe prospects don't want to talk to us because we didn't give them a compelling reason for doing so.

Similarly, when prospects choose the competition instead of us, maybe we didn't offer them a good enough reason for choosing us.

Andrew's right...we are totally responsible for the results we get.

Instead of defaulting to the blame game, how about figuring out what can be done better the next time?
