The Devil Is In The Details

Assumptions can get any of us in trouble.

They need to be cleared up and become NOT assumptions.

The devil is always in the details and we need to slow down with our contracts for getting the deals done right.

Check, Double check & Triple check
by: Larry Easto

One of the most exciting stages of selling is the adrenaline rush as we are on the verge of closing the deal.

The downside is this is also the most critical stage...ensuring that ALL of the elements that have been discussed are accurately recorded in the written agreement.

The closer to closing, the more important it becomes to check, double check and triple check that the essential elements are not only included...they are correct and mutually agreed upon.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Details, details..I find myself checking and re-checking everything so there are no surpises at closing. The culmination of the whole transaction comes together at closing. If you want raving fans such as I do the actual closing is the last impression a buyer or seller has of all of your work (sad but true). It needs to be a happy experience; flawless in execution!
